Are they structurally sound?

Timber framed houses are professionally designed by structural engineers who will have produced a full set of structural calculations to prove that the timber frame will support the roof, floors and cladding materials. The timber frame is manufactured, in factory conditions, under strict quality control systems. The structural timbers are precision engineered with stress graded timber in line with the engineer’s calculations and after cutting all the timbers are pressure treated with preservatives to prevent fungal attack or decay.
